Uzbekistan attracts $2 billion to AI sector
Nearly $2 billion in investments have been attracted to Uzbekistan's artificial intelligence and digital technologies sector. The export of IT services increased by 4.5 times, nearing $1 billion.

These figures were announced during the artificial intelligence forum attended by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The number of higher education institutions specializing in training IT specialists has nearly tripled, reaching 145, while the total number of students has exceeded 80,000.

Within the framework of the "One Million Coders" initiative, over 2 million young people have improved their qualifications. Across the country, over 20,000 computer science teachers are participating in intensive courses offered through the New Uzbekistan University in cooperation with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

In the healthcare sector, digital diagnostics have helped accurately determine the causes of more than 50,000 diseases and reduced patient service times by 5–7 times. In Karakalpakstan, 70% of mammographic images are analyzed using a locally developed artificial intelligence platform.

Results have been validated by doctors in 98% of cases, and the diagnostic process has been shortened to two hours. The number of tech startups has increased tenfold, attracting $300 million in investments.

Additionally, construction of the first $3 billion "green" data center in partnership with Saudi Arabia has begun.
