More than 40 citizens of Uzbekistan who did not have legal grounds to stay in the USA were deported from the country. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
It was reported that a special charter flight was organized as part of the deportation process, which took place on January 21. A total of 44 citizens of Uzbekistan were repatriated on this flight.
It is noted that the flight was organized in close cooperation with the competent US government agencies, ensuring the safe, timely, and orderly return of citizens to their homeland.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs assessed this event as a practical example of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the USA. It was also noted that work is consistently continuing to protect the rights and interests of citizens of Uzbekistan abroad, ensure their safety, and, if necessary, return them to the Homeland.
