On December 11, during his visit to Ashgabat, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan.
During the talks, special attention was given to further expanding Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan strategic partnership, friendship, and good-neighborly relations, focusing primarily on political, inter-parliamentary, trade-economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.
The leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan also addressed pressing regional and international issues of mutual significance.
On December 12, Mirziyoyev will participate in an international forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's declaration of permanent neutrality, International Neutrality Day, and the designation of 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust."
