Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Astana at the invitation of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The head of state's plane landed at the airport in Kazakhstan's capital, where he was warmly welcomed by high-ranking officials.

Representatives of the Kazakh government, including Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, were present at the reception ceremony. The visit once again demonstrated the strategic importance of friendly relations and regional cooperation between the two countries.

According to the plan, the President of Uzbekistan will participate in the Regional Ecological Summit to be held on April 22. He will also attend the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea.
