
On December 29, Uzbekistan delivered 390 tons of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
The shipment included medicines and food products. The handover ceremony was held in Hairatan. Balkh province head Mohammad Yusuf Wafa expressed gratitude to Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for supporting the Afghan people.
Wafa also noted that in recent years, amid cooperation with Uzbekistan, exports of Afghan products have increased and the country’s socio-economic conditions have improved.
According to the MFA, this is the fourth time this year that Tashkent has provided humanitarian aid to the neighboring country.
