Uzbekistan launched 33 new air routes in one year

In Uzbekistan, airlines launched 33 flights on new routes throughout 2025. According to the Ministry of Transport, passenger traffic reached 15.6 million by year-end.
The country currently has 17 domestic and 51 foreign airlines in operation. Uzbek carriers have 109 aircraft in their fleets, and contracts have also been signed to purchase 22 more modern Boeing 787s.
In 2025, Andijan Airport was fully renovated, and the Sariosiyo aerodrome was also modernized. The «Tashkent – Humo» complex was commissioned in Tashkent, and construction of a new international airport has begun in the region.
According to the plans, in 2026 the number of flights in the aviation sector is expected to increase to 140,000, with services provided to 17 million passengers.
