Interest-free education loans for those who completed military service

In Uzbekistan, if young people returning from compulsory military service want to study at a university, the state will cover the costs of obtaining foreign language and subject certificates.
If they enroll in universities on a contract basis, they will be provided with an interest-free education loan. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this at the Security Council meeting on January 13.
According to the head of state, conscripts will be given the opportunity to take university entrance exams directly at their military unit. Soldiers who pass the tests successfully and are admitted as students will begin their studies after completing compulsory service.
In addition, for young people who want to return from the army and get jobs in state organizations, a practice will be introduced to grant a 10% preference to test scores administered by the Agency for Management Effectiveness. For those planning to work in the private sector, the costs of learning a profession and obtaining certificates will be covered.
“In short, completing compulsory military service should become a path to success for young people,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
