President reviews operations of $30 million private medical center in Almazar district

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Almazar district and reviewed the operations of the new multidisciplinary Sinomed medical center. The visit was seen as a practical continuation of the policy to support the private sector in healthcare, highlighted by the head of state on November 10 last year. This was reported by podrobno.uz. reports .
According to the President’s press service, nearly 30% of medical services in the country are currently provided by private clinics. The government is expanding conditions in this area and plans to further develop the activities of private medical institutions.
The total value of the Sinomed project is $30 million. High-tech equipment for the clinic was imported from the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, and Germany.
The center can serve up to 4,500 patients per year. Services are provided in surgery, pediatrics, traumatology, orthopedics, and endocrinology.
Special attention has been paid to human resources: more than 300 jobs have been created, and the medical team includes over 80 specialists. More than 60 of them studied and completed internships at leading clinics in South Korea, Germany, Turkey, India, and the United States. Foreign specialists also practice at the center.
One of Sinomed’s distinctive features is the establishment of Tashkent’s first private maternity complex. It can accommodate 30 women at the same time. The President reviewed the monitoring system in detail—from pregnancy registration to postnatal care—and emphasized that quality prenatal supervision reduces stress for women and helps build a culture of healthy motherhood.
The center’s infrastructure includes the country’s largest private vaccination point as well as the only specialized sterilization center in the non-state sector. For public convenience, call centers and mobile patronage teams capable of conducting home visits have been launched.
The clinic’s management plans to expand bed capacity and strengthen preventive programs for children. In talks with the staff, the President noted that qualified doctors returning to the country and introducing advanced practices is an important outcome of the reforms. He also stressed that an increase in the number of private centers will boost healthy competition, provide people with choice, and ensure a balance between service quality and prices.
