Bayern Munich plan to sign Inter defender Dumfries

Bayern Munich has identified Inter Milan's Denzel Dumfries as a primary target to resolve issues at right-back. The team's new head coach, Vincent Kompany, wants to see the Dutch player in the squad. Goal.com reports this.
Manchester City and Barcelona are also involved in the race for the 29-year-old defender. The fact that Dumfries recently changed his agent indicates his readiness to leave the Italian Serie A.

Bayern management considers the experienced player a more reliable option than Konrad Laimer and Josip Stanisic. Although Dumfries' contract with Inter is valid until 2028, the Milan club is ready to sell him in the summer.
The player was sidelined for three months after suffering an ankle injury at the end of 2025. Having returned to the field in February, the defender proved that his physical condition is in order and is helping his team's march toward the championship.

Negotiations between the clubs are expected to intensify after the end of the season. The Munich side plans to send an official offer as soon as the transfer window opens to outpace their rivals.
