A new law on the regulation of real estate activities was approved

Today, on April 7, the Senate plenary session discussed and approved an important law in the field of real estate - the document "On Real Estate Activities". The main goal of this law is to ensure transparency in the real estate market and protect the rights of citizens.
In recent years, the real estate market in Uzbekistan has been actively developing, new housing is being built and the mortgage market is expanding. However, along with the pace of this process, issues such as the increase in the number of informal intermediaries and, in some cases, violations of citizens' rights are also being observed.
The senators noted that the need to regulate real estate activities arose due to the fact that the existing regulatory framework does not meet modern requirements.
According to the new law, the main principles of real estate activities are established, including compliance with the law, impartiality, honesty, confidentiality of information, and avoidance of conflicts of interest. This, in turn, increases the responsibility of real estate agents to clients and places high demands on them in terms of service quality.
The law also specifically recognizes the role of professional public associations. They are determined to play an important role in certifying real estate agents, assessing their qualifications, and exercising control over their professional activities.
The adoption of this law was an important step towards solving problems in the real estate market and protecting the rights of citizens.
