Certain streets in central Tashkent temporarily closed, warning to drivers

An important announcement has been made for drivers in Tashkent. From May 2 to May 11, traffic will be temporarily restricted on a number of streets in the city center.
It is reported that these restrictions are being introduced in connection with the Tashkent Flowers Fest 2026. The event will take place from May 7 to May 9 in the square in front of the National Library of Uzbekistan.
According to the city administration, vehicle traffic will be restricted in the following areas during the preparation for and the duration of the festival:
- The section of Zarafshon Street from near the Hyatt Regency Tashkent to Mustaqillik Avenue;
- The section of Istiqlol Street between Amir Temur Avenue and Buyuk Turon Street;
- The section of Buyuk Turon Street from the intersection with Istiqlol Street to the Youth Creativity Palace.
Officials are asking drivers to plan their routes in advance during these days. Using alternative routes can help prevent traffic congestion.
Within the framework of the festival, flower exhibitions, cultural events, and various performances are expected to be organized in the capital.
