
A 6.1 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Sındırgı region of Turkey on October 27 at 22:48 local time (00:48 Tashkent time). This was reported by the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).
The epicenter of the earthquake was located at an estimated depth of 6 kilometers, and the tremors were also felt in neighboring provinces. According to Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya on the NSosyal platform, three buildings and one shop collapsed as a result of the earthquake.
Everyone inside was evacuated in time. According to the information provided by Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu, 19 people were injured as a result of the earthquake, most of them hurt due to panic or jumping out of windows during the tremors.
