In Norway, new charges have been brought against the Crown Princess's son before trial

The sensational affair surrounding the Norwegian royal family took a sharp turn again. The eldest son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Marius Borg Hoybie, was arrested again just before the trial began. Oslo police reported that he was detained on suspicion of "inflicting bodily harm," "threatening with a knife," and violating the court-imposed ban on communication.
The police stated that there is a risk of repeat offenses, and therefore, the defenders will file a petition with the court to detain Hoeybi. The identities of the victims and other details of the situation were not disclosed.
Notably, the trial will begin in Oslo on February 3rd and is expected to last several weeks. The indictment consists of 38 items in total, including rape charges in four cases, intimate violence, threats, and drugs.
Reports indicate that Hayby did not plead guilty to rape charges in court. At the same time, there is information that he partially admitted guilt under some other clauses. If found guilty, he is threatened with up to 10 years in prison for a number of episodes.
Why is this case causing a great resonance in the public? Because although Hyoiby is close to the royal family, he does not have the title of "Prince" and is not an official member of the royal house. Nevertheless, the situation itself is casting a serious shadow on the prestige of the Norwegian royal family.
In short, the new suspicions brought before the court further complicated the case. Now the main answer is in court: to what extent will the accusations be proven and what evidence will the parties present.
