Revolut Bank Restricts Money Transfers from Uzbekistan to France

Revolut bank limits remittances from Uzbekistan to France

The UK-based Revolut bank has imposed restrictions on money transfers from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and several other countries to France, according to a report by the Oninvest portal based on a letter from the financial institution.

Revolut's customer service department clarified that this decision was not made independently by the bank but was implemented to comply with the requirements of its payment processing partners. The list of restricted countries includes Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, China, Russia, as well as certain countries in Africa and Europe.

Previously, it was reported that Russian citizens faced difficulties transferring funds to Revolut accounts in the European Union using cards issued in CIS countries. Oninvest highlighted that none of the banks involved in these transactions are under sanctions.

Revolut is a British neobank established in London in 2015. The bank offers online account opening and management of financial operations through a mobile application.

Users have the capability to store funds in dozens of currencies, exchange them at interbank rates, and transfer money abroad quickly with lower fees.
