In the first 11 months of 2025, Uzbekistan became the second most popular destination for international money transfers among VTB Bank clients. This was announced by the bank's Senior Vice President Aleksey Okhorzin at the “Russia Calls!” investment forum, according to Kommersant.
According to the bank’s data, over 9 million international money transfers were conducted by retail customers during this period, which is five times more compared to the previous year. The volume of transactions increased by 5.5 times.
Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, and Kazakhstan are among the most in-demand destinations. The average money transfer amount is 26,000 rubles (3.9 million som), with customers conducting an average of three transactions per month.
The VTB Bank forecasts that the volume of such transactions will double in 2026, driven by the expansion of its services and the increase in the number of routes.
