
From January to October 2025, 237,100 citizens of Uzbekistan visited Saudi Arabia. According to the National Statistics Committee, this figure is 68% higher compared to the previous year.
The primary purpose of visits by Uzbeks to this country was pilgrimage and tourism, with 197,900 people traveling for these reasons. Additionally, 38,200 citizens traveled to visit their relatives.
Furthermore, 924 people visited for medical treatment, 66 were on business trips, and 31 traveled for educational purposes. It should be noted that according to a decision by the Saudi Arabian government, mandatory medical screening will be introduced for citizens planning to perform the Hajj pilgrimage starting next year.
Without this certificate, entry into the kingdom will not be permitted. Additionally, pilgrims suffering from severe chronic illnesses such as heart, kidney, lung, and liver diseases, serious mental illnesses, dementia, or undergoing treatment for oncological diseases will not be allowed to perform Hajj.
