A delicate operation involving Lavrov uncovered a spy in the Kremlin...

New details that caused a stir in Russian political circles have been revealed. It turned out that the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was forced to immediately withdraw a valuable agent operating within Russian government structures from the country. This was announced by Lieutenant Colonel Andrey Popov, a member of the "Alpha" Anti-Terrorist Group Veterans Association.

According to him, this evacuation was carried out as a result of a very delicate operation, consisting of several stages, carefully planned in advance. The main role in the process was played by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Popov emphasized that Lavrov acted in this situation not as an ordinary diplomat, but as an experienced professional well-versed in all the subtleties of intelligence and counterintelligence activities.

- I think this was a very high-level operation conducted by our special services. "Sergey Lavrov showed that he is not only a diplomat here, but also a person who can think in the logic of intelligence," Popov said in an interview with "Sargrad."

He assessed that it was with Lavrov that such a psychological and political atmosphere was created that US intelligence felt cornered and, as a result, was forced to expose its own agent. This is not about direct disclosure, but about controlling the psychological pressure and information flows that have been applied for a long time.

"The main goal was to create conditions for the enemy so that their nerves wouldn't hold back and they would decide to bring their own spy out," explained the reserve lieutenant colonel.

It is noted that Lavrov calculated the actions of foreign special services in advance in this event and managed to overtake them strategically.

Recall that in 2019, CNN, citing sources in the Donald Trump administration, reported that the US had already withdrawn a very valuable agent from Russia in 2017 due to the risk of exposure. According to the publication, this person had access to Russia's top leadership.

Later, the media called this agent Oleg Smolenkov. Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Smolenkov did indeed work in the presidential administration for several years, but was dismissed "on the basis of internal instructions."

The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, also reported that this person previously worked at the Russian Embassy in the USA.

This event once again demonstrated how important diplomacy is in international intelligence games.
