Both freshly squeezed and packaged: a juice that is beneficial in any form has been found
Experts told Roskachestvo about juice that is healthy even in the “store” version.

There is a saying: “An apple a day — and you don’t need a doctor.” Will this benefit be preserved if you turn the fruit into juice?

According to endocrinologist Elena Syurakshina, fresh apples contain vitamins B and C, potassium, magnesium and chromium, a whole range of polyphenols and, of course, fiber. These substances are good for the heart and blood vessels: they lower the level of bad cholesterol in the blood, reduce the risk of atherosclerosis, and normalize blood pressure. Apples also improve intestinal motility and maintain healthy microflora in it, eliminate inflammation and strengthen the immune system.

It is noteworthy that apple juice has similar properties. We are not talking only about freshly squeezed drinks, but also about industrially produced juice, which can be bought in any store.

According to expert Lyudmila Khomich, modern industrial technologies for processing apples into juice are as gentle as possible. The drink retains all the beneficial properties. Just 1 glass of store-bought juice with a good composition will partially replenish the body's daily need for potassium and chromium. Unclarified apple juices are rich in pectins, and juices with pulp contain fiber, which is important for the gastrointestinal tract.

Apple juice is a natural product and rarely causes allergies. It is not for nothing that it is allowed to be introduced into the diet of small children. Apple juice can be drunk even with diabetes, but in this case it is better to give preference to the option with pulp. In other cases, it is not recommended to drink more than 200-300 ml per day.

Who is not recommended to drink apple juice

First of all, this drink should be excluded from the diet in case of individual intolerance and exacerbation of food allergies.

If you have diabetes, it is recommended to choose juice with pulp, which contains dietary fiber (cellulose) and has a lower glycemic index, or eat a whole apple.

Apple juice contains natural apple sugars - glucose, fructose, sucrose, as well as malic acid, which has a negative effect on teeth. Experts recommend drinking the juice through a straw or rinsing your mouth with water immediately after drinking the juice to avoid unnecessary exposure to your teeth.

It should be noted that even for a completely healthy person, drinking apple juice in too large quantities (more than 500 ml at a time) can be fraught with side effects such as bloating, diarrhea, redness.
