According to the Tashkent Regional Department of Emergency Situations, yesterday, on September 18, a large fire broke out on the Kamchik pass. The incident was recorded on the A-373 highway in the “Valley–Tashkent” direction.
It was reported that around 22:35, the trailer of a moving Volvo truck caught fire. Various construction materials were inside the trailer, and they were quickly engulfed by flames.
The emergency service promptly headed to the scene. Fire-rescue brigades arrived at 22:47 and, after long efforts, completely extinguished the fire by 23:42.
The causes of the incident and the material damage are currently being investigated by specialists. Most importantly, it was noted that no people were injured during the incident.
Experts emphasize that strict adherence to safety measures, regular monitoring of the technical condition, and strengthening of precautionary measures in trucks are of great importance to prevent such incidents.
