In the Fergana region, a 29-year-old son killed his mother with an axe following a financial dispute. This was reported by Millar.
According to court documents, on the day of the incident around 8:00 AM, a dispute over money occurred between the deceased woman, a mother of three, and her eldest son, the defendant. During the argument, the defendant struck his mother's head several times with an axe he was holding, causing serious bodily injury. He then used a kitchen knife to decapitate her.
Afterward, the defendant buried the victim's body in a corner of the garden and the head behind the toilet, then fled the scene.
The case was heard by the Dangara District Criminal Court. The defendant was found guilty of intentional murder under Article 97, Part 2, Clause 'j' of the Criminal Code and was sentenced to 18 years in prison. The sentence is to be served in a general-regime penal colony.
