According to the press service of Uzenergoinspeksiya, another case of natural gas theft has been identified. Inspection activities were carried out by employees of the Andijan regional office of Uzenergoinspeksiya, representatives of “Hududgaz Andijan,” and law enforcement agencies.
During these activities, the building of “V. E.” LLC located in Asaka district was inspected.
During the inspection, it was found that the enterprise's building had been illegally connected to the gas network using a simple rubber hose. According to preliminary calculations, the gas supply organization suffered significant losses.
The total amount of damage is estimated at 1 billion 400 million soums. Currently, all case materials have been sent to law enforcement agencies, and additional investigative actions are underway.
The perpetrators may face up to 15 years in prison under the “Theft” article of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
