Information about the salary levels of professional football players in Uzbekistan's top league has been published. This was reported by Kazakhstan’s major sports portal 'Sports.kz' with reference to the 'Green Time' channel on Telegram.
According to the information, the income of players in the local championship is considered competitive. In Uzbekistan's leading clubs, players' monthly salaries can reach up to 30,000-40,000 US dollars.
Such high salary levels allow many talented footballers not to consider moving to foreign clubs offering less attractive financial packages. For example, at mid-level clubs outside Uzbekistan, players’ salaries may be only 15,000-20,000 dollars, which is less than the amounts offered by local clubs.
'Salaries in Uzbekistan are quite decent: at the top clubs, footballers may earn 30,000-40,000 dollars per month. If you can earn more in your own country, what's the point of moving somewhere else for 15,000-20,000 dollars?'
In addition, currently many Uzbek players are playing in the championships of Arab countries and Iran. The salaries there are even higher,' the source noted.
