A woman was punished for prostitution in Tashkent


A woman born in the Navoi region was punished for engaging in prostitution. This was reported on the official website of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan.

On October 28, 2023, at approximately 20:00, law enforcement officers discovered a woman born in 1992 engaging in prostitution on the premises of the "B H" hotel located in the Bektemir district of Tashkent city. It was revealed that the woman is divorced and has one child.

She had previously also been held administratively liable for a similar offense. According to the decision of the Bektemir district criminal court, the woman was found guilty under part 2 of the article "Engaging in prostitution" of the Administrative Liability Code of Uzbekistan.

She was sentenced to 5 days of administrative detention. In addition, the woman is required to pay 309,000 soums to cover the costs of being held at the special detention center.
