The President called for reform of state clinics

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev recommended the heads of state medical institutions to utilize the experience of the private sector. He emphasized this during a meeting with healthcare representatives.

The President noted that expensive medical equipment in regional and district clinics is often not used effectively. For example, the MKT machine in Gurlan district of Tashkent region is not being utilized to its full capacity.

Another example — the $1 million angiograph at the Navoiy Region Emergency Medical Center is operating at only 4% capacity. Mirziyoyev also criticized the fact that the heads of regional medical institutions and family clinics are still working in an outdated manner.

The President also addressed the activities of the Republican Oncology Center, noting that a manager from Turkey is working there, and that France's "Gustave Roussy" clinic is providing assistance to this center. "Each center’s head must draw their own conclusions and develop a significant yearly plan.

They should find a foreign partner within three months and implement changes themselves, or we will remove them from their position," said Mirziyoyev.
