The Tashkent Region Department of Internal Affairs has denied rumors about the case involving an armed attack on a woman in the Akhangaran district being closed. The incident occurred on October 22 in the “Ko'ksaroy” neighborhood.
A 33-year-old man brought a rifle with him and approached a woman working in a shop, with whom he was cohabiting. A conflict arose between them, during which the man used physical force against the woman.
Law enforcement authorities have initiated a criminal case. The weapon owned by the attacker was confiscated, and his hunting license has been revoked.
Investigations into the case are ongoing. According to the results of a medical examination conducted on November 11, the victim sustained minor physical injuries.
Reportedly, the woman was in a religious marriage with the attacker. The press service of the Department of Internal Affairs has called on media outlets to contact the department to ensure accurate and truthful reporting.
Earlier, Uzbek online publications, citing the victim, reported that attempts were being made to close the case allegedly because the attacker's relatives worked in law enforcement agencies. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
