Tashkent and Samarkand Lead Construction Boom


According to data from the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, construction work across the country totaled 224.5 trillion soums in the period from January to September 2025. This represents a 14.2 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

Tashkent city leads in terms of construction volume, with projects worth 64.1 trillion soums completed. Tashkent Region ranks second with 25.2 trillion soums, followed by Samarkand Region with 14.2 trillion soums.

Additionally, construction work worth 13.8 trillion soums was carried out in Bukhara Region, while Fergana Region reported a total of 13.7 trillion soums. The lowest volumes of construction activity were recorded in Syrdarya Region (4.4 trillion soums) and Jizzakh Region (5.9 trillion soums).
