Notorious folk healer Ikbol Soliev was released after serving his administrative detention term. He immediately addressed his Instagram followers, rejecting law enforcement claims that he had “operated without a license,” and said he disagreed with the court’s decision on administrative liability. Podrobno.uz reports.reports.
According to Soliev, allegations that he has been working without the required documents since 2024 are not true. He stressed that he holds certificates issued by the Uzbekistan Folk Medicine Association, including open-ended documents, and also has a certificate and ID obtained from Kazakhstan’s health authorities.
In the statement, Soliev’s lawyer also commented, calling some of the circulating information “incorrect and unfounded.” In particular, he denied reports that the healer’s license had expired. The defense also disagreed with the administrative article applied to Soliev, saying his activity was wrongly interpreted as “mass promotion,” and that the dissemination of information was within the limits permitted by law.
Earlier, it was reported that after promotional videos appeared online, Soliev was accused of providing services without the required license and was held administratively liable. According to the Kokand City Department of Internal Affairs, the validity of the documents issued by the association ended on December 21, 2024. At the beginning of the year, he was also fined for providing services without authorization, but reportedly continued his activities. In November, another administrative report was drawn up against him and the case was sent to court; on December 17, the court sentenced him to 10 days of administrative detention.
