An Uzbek woman sentenced to 15 years in Moscow
A court in Moscow has sentenced 33-year-old Uzbek national Mahbubakhon Orinboyeva to 15 years in a general-regime penal colony. This was reported by TASS.

She was found guilty of financing the group "Katiba Tawhid wal-Jihad," which is part of the terrorist organization "Hayat Tahrir al-Sham" operating in Syria.

According to the investigation, in October 2022, Orinboyeva provided her bank card details to radicals. Subsequently, 6,500 rubles (over 1 million soums) were transferred to this card, and these funds were directed to support jihadists.

Orinboyeva denied her guilt. According to a court representative, the verdict has not yet entered into force, and the defendant may demand a review of the case.
