The program "Evening with Vladimir Solovyov" on the "Russia 1" channel aired another controversial discussion about the sovereign states of Central Asia and the Caucasus. It was reported that the guest of the air - political scientist Sergei Mikheev - criticized the foreign policy of the countries of the region, in effect denying their right to act as equal partners.
During the discussion, Mikheev said that Russia has been supporting the region for many years, but this has led to the "pampering" of neighboring countries. According to his position, the policy towards the post-Soviet countries needs to be reconsidered.
The most controversial point is the view that "Russia is indebted to everyone, but no one is indebted to Russia." Mikheev calls this a "strange situation," and, citing labor migration, aid, and other issues, criticizes "Russia's constant appearance as a debtor," citing this tone as one of the reasons for the events in Ukraine.
It is noted that the host of the show, Vladimir Solovyov, then joined in, continuing this line of thought in an even harsher tone, in some cases expressing dissatisfaction with reactions such as "summoning the ambassador."
Against the backdrop of these discussions, Solovyov's earlier more radical statements on "Solovyev Live" are also recalled: he described Central Asia as a strategic region for Moscow, spoke of a "sphere of influence," and raised the topic of a "special military operation" in the case of Ukraine, which led to heated reactions in various countries and communities.

That is why after such speeches, the question "how far will this topic go?" is increasingly raised.
