A new platform called "Digital Control" will be launched in Uzbekistan by January 1, 2027. This platform will monitor the quality of services in the digital technology and telecommunications sectors.
This was stated in a decree by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The platform will also cover remote regions.
Additionally, the platform will ensure prompt responses to disruptions in information systems and provide efficient handling of complaints and requests from citizens and organizations. According to the document, the Inspectorate for Control in the Field of Information and Telecommunications under the Ministry of Digital Technologies has been designated as the special authorized body.
This inspectorate will oversee information, telecommunications, postal services, and digital technologies sectors. Furthermore, it will be responsible for registering mass media outlets, monitoring compliance with legislation, and protecting children from harmful information.
