Uzbekistan to launch a unified social registry in February 2026

Uzbekistan will launch a unified social registry from the beginning of February 2026. The Ministry of Justice reported this, citing a relevant decree by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Kursiv.uz reports.

The new system will be formed on the basis of the social protection registry and the list of low-income families. The registry is intended to clearly determine who should receive state assistance.

Families included in the registry will be divided into three categories: the first group will include those unable to work; the second—those who can work but whose income is below the minimum level; the third—those whose income is slightly above minimum consumer spending, from one to one and a half times.

Next year, Uzbekistan plans to allocate 220 trillion soums to support the social sector. It is also planned to allocate 100 trillion soums from the state budget to the education system and 4.4 trillion soums to the cultural sector.
