The festive spirit in Tashkent has reached new heights. The tallest New Year tree in the capital has been erected in the large square in front of the Alisher Navoi National Library of Uzbekistan. The tree, set up as a symbol of the holiday, stands at a total height of 35 meters and is immediately capturing the attention of residents and visitors alike.
A total of 33,000 ornaments of various colors were used to decorate the tree. At its very top, a symbolic star representing the New Year spirit has been placed. In the evenings, when the lighting system is activated, the tree illuminates the entire square, creating a vivid festive atmosphere.
The main festive area covers a total of 1.3 hectares, and all necessary arrangements for walking, taking pictures, and enjoying the holiday have been made. Additionally, four smaller trees, each standing 6 meters tall, have been installed around the main tree, further enhancing the celebratory mood.
In the run-up to New Year’s celebrations, this square is expected to become one of the most popular and crowded spots for residents of the capital. In summary, Tashkent is once again ready to welcome the New Year with grandeur, light, and a heightened festive spirit.
