According to weather forecasters, the chance of snowfall across most regions of Uzbekistan during the New Year holidays is low. On December 31 and January 1, mainly mild winter weather is expected nationwide, with no precipitation forecast in many areas. This was reported by kursiv.uz.reports.
In Tashkent, the weather at the end of the year will be changeable: on December 31, intermittent rain is possible, with daytime temperatures around +8…+10°C. On January 1, mostly dry weather is forecast.
Overall, December 31 and January 1 are expected to be dry in many areas: +3…+8°C during the day and -2…+3°C at night. Fog is possible in some places. No significant precipitation is forecast for New Year’s Eve.
In central regions, daytime temperatures on December 31 are expected to be +5…+10°C, and +2…+7°C at night. On January 1, daytime temperatures may rise to +12°C, with nighttime temperatures around +3°C.
In the north of Navoi Region, slightly cooler weather will persist: +3…+8°C during the day and -2…+3°C at night. On December 31, rain is possible in some places, but snow is not expected.
In some areas, local rains are expected on December 31: +9…+14°C during the day and +5…+10°C at night. No precipitation is forecast on January 1; daytime temperatures will be +7…+12°C and nighttime 0…+5°C. Rain is also possible in some places on New Year’s Eve.
In several other regions, December 31 and January 1 are expected to be dry: +5…+10°C during the day and +2…+7°C at night. On the night and during the day of January 1, temperatures may be around 0…+5°C.
In foothill and higher-altitude areas, the likelihood of mixed precipitation in the form of rain and snow remains. On the night leading into December 31, temperatures will drop to 0…-5°C, with +2…+7°C during the day. For January 1, +0…+5°C is forecast during the day and -2…-7°C at night.
Overall, in most regions of Uzbekistan, New Year’s Eve will pass without snow and without sharp cold snaps—calm and relatively mild weather is expected.
