Thailand accuses Cambodia of violating new ceasefire agreement
The Thai army has accused Cambodia of violating a newly signed ceasefire agreement. The deal was reached after several weeks of clashes that forced thousands of people to leave their homes. According to the army, over 250 drones were detected from Cambodian territory on Sunday night.

The ceasefire took effect on Saturday. Both sides agreed to maintain current front lines, halt reinforcements, and allow civilians in border areas to return. Diplomatic support was provided by China and the US.

The Thai army called Cambodia's actions “provocation and a violation of the agreement.” It was also reported that the release of 18 Cambodian soldiers held in Thailand since July may be reconsidered.

So far, Cambodia has not commented. The ceasefire was praised by China and the US, but the risk of clashes along the border remains, and disputes between the two countries have a long history.
