Ronaldo presents Djokovic with the Sportsman of the Year award

At the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony held in Dubai, Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic received a special award. This was reported by euro-football.ru.reports.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion was named Sportsman of the Year in the Globe Sports Award category. The trophy was presented to him by Al-Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

Djokovic said the recognition came as a surprise and stressed the symbolic meaning of receiving the award from one of the biggest stars in world football.

At the ceremony, Ronaldo also praised Djokovic’s achievements. The Portuguese footballer called the Serbian tennis player an example of longevity and consistency at the professional level, noting that their sporting paths share similarities. In Ronaldo’s view, Djokovic fully deserves the award.
