In Bukhara region, law enforcement agencies stopped an illegal hunt of wild birds. According to the Ecology Committee, poachers managed to shoot 94 ducks and 23 coots. The damage to nature was estimated at 48 million soums.
Raid operations were carried out in Peshku district, where an eco-patrol identified a group of 10 Uzbek citizens hunting without permission at the “Qoraqir” natural water reservoir.
Another environmental violation was also recorded in the “Gazli” area: two men were found to be illegally cutting, collecting, and transporting saxaul. Ten cubic meters of timber were seized from them as material evidence.
The committee noted that raids aimed at protecting wildlife and plant life in the region are ongoing.
