Microsoft denies rumors of new mass layoffs

Microsoft’s head of communications, Frank Shaw, publicly denied rumors about another major round of layoffs at the company. This is reported by playground.ru reports .
Earlier, unreliable sources claimed Microsoft could carry out mass staff cuts to accelerate its artificial intelligence push, including reducing headcount in its gaming division.
It is noted that online backlash against Microsoft and Xbox has intensified recently, with more posts and fake news attempting to stir hatred toward the corporation. Some users criticize the company for actively внедрение artificial intelligence into its products.
Given that Shaw’s statement was made publicly on behalf of an official representative, it is once again reminded that you shouldn’t blindly trust any online rumors or articles.
For reference, Xbox will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2026. An Xbox Developer Direct presentation is expected in January, where Halo: Campaign Evolved, Forza Horizon 6, Gears of War E-Day, a Fable reboot, as well as Clockwork Revolution and other surprises may be shown.
