Uzbekistanis can formalize a marriage contract through a notary

In Uzbekistan, a marriage contract can now be formalized at a notary office. At the applicants’ request, the document may also be certified via video call or through an on-site visit by a notary. This was reported by kursiv.uz. reports .
To conclude the contract, the parties must either appear in person at the notary’s office or register via the my.gov.uz portal and the E-notarius.uz website. The notary verifies the applicants’ identity, checks whether they have reached the legal marriage age, are not currently married to someone else, and that no prior marriage contract has been concluded between them.
After all checks are completed and payments are made, the parties are invited to the notary to sign the contract. All copies of the document are signed in person in the presence of the notary, with the parties’ full name and patronymic indicated.
