From January 8, automobile methane gas filling compressor stations (methane filling stations) will operate in a new time schedule: daily from 10:00 to 16:00. This was officially announced by the Ministry of Energy.
According to the ministry's explanation, necessary measures are being taken due to the observed pressure drop in the main gas pipelines. In this situation, the priority task is defined as the uninterrupted and stable supply of natural gas to households and social facilities. Therefore, based on schedules agreed upon with local authorities, a temporary restriction on the operation of gas stations is being introduced.
In the Fergana Valley, the procedure will be even more "local": the operating hours of methane filling stations will be determined in agreement with the khokimiyats, based on gas pressure and general supply. That is, when pressure drops, the population, public transport, and socially significant facilities will be the first to be provided with fuel. This is a measure to prevent traffic jams and ensure the stable operation of heating systems in schools, kindergartens, hospitals, important institutions, and homes.
The Ministry also emphasized that these restrictions are temporary. Currently, practical work is underway to normalize gas pressure, and the operating mode may be reviewed once the situation stabilizes.
As a reminder: restrictions on the operation of methane gas stations were introduced on December 12, this decision was explained by a decrease in the volume of imported natural gas due to a technical malfunction in the gas network of the neighboring country. Subsequently, from December 30, all methane filling stations were returned to a 24-hour operating mode. Now, due to the situation with gas pressure, they are switching to shorter working hours again.
Advice for drivers: make a road plan in advance, go to the gas station not in a hurry, but with "time management." The new regime is temporary, but if we are patient, the main thing is that houses and important facilities will not be left without gas.
