Reforms in the field of education and the opportunities provided to young people in Uzbekistan are yielding results. According to the president, thousands of schoolchildren and young people receive international certificates in foreign languages and various subjects every year.
For example, until 2016, only 2,000 schoolchildren received certificates nationwide, while last year alone, 150,000 young people received international certificates in foreign languages alone. This indicator shows that it is the result not only of the growth of the education system in the country, but also of the diligence and research of the younger generation.
As the President noted, international certificates will now be taken into account in school final exams. This creates additional opportunities for young people, ensuring a worthy assessment of their work and aspirations.
Young people who have achieved particular success in the field of education were cited as examples at the meeting. In particular, the talented girl from Kagan, Billura Ikramova, despite successfully graduating from the University of Reading in Great Britain, which is among the top 200 universities, chose her homeland, rejecting offers from large companies. She is now teaching English at one of the remote village schools in Romitan district.
Also, Nodira Nabiyeva, a doctoral student at Oxford University, has developed an innovative methodology for teaching English to students with hearing impairments. Even professors and teachers of prestigious universities in Germany and the USA use this methodology. The President assessed this as a great achievement for the national education system.
"My biggest dream is education, and more education. Because our future depends on educated, selfless, hardworking youth. Therefore, I am ready to expand the ranks of talented and loyal teachers and create all the conditions for them," the head of state said.
