According to the Pension Fund under the Ministry of Finance, as of October 1, 2025, 4 million 241.8 thousand citizens across the country were registered as pensioners.
Of these:
- more than 3.5 million people received old-age pensions,
- 482.1 thousand people - disability pensions,
- 245.6 thousand families will receive survivor's pensions.
Pensioners by region:
- Fergana region - 500.8 thousand people (the largest number of pensioners),
- Samarkand region - 451.6 thousand people,
- Tashkent city - 380.4 thousand people,
- Tashkent region - 383.1 thousand people,
- Syrdarya region - 108.9 thousand people (minimum pensioners).
Officials emphasized that the demographic situation and labor market disparities across regions are affecting these indicators.
Work continues on the digitalization and automation of pension payments. This process is aimed at creating convenience for pensioners and ensuring the transparency of the payment system.
For information, since October, the process of receiving pensions in cash has been carried out with biometric confirmation through Face-ID.
