Starting from November 1st, a number of new rules and resolutions will come into effect in Uzbekistan. Below, we provide information about the main changes: 1.
The above-ground ring line of the Tashkent Metro will be relaunched. Previously, train service at 14 stations from "Technopark" to "Kipchak" had been temporarily suspended due to repair work.
During the repairs, the track surface was restored, worn rails were replaced, the drainage system was inspected, and the strength of the gravel layer was tested. 2.
When gas equipment is installed in vehicles, it will no longer be required to change the technical passport. This information will be entered into an electronic system, which will simplify the process of obtaining government services and reduce costs.
3. Entrepreneurs will be able to accept payments through any mobile application using a universal QR code.
Currently, more than 40 electronic payment organizations operate in the country. 4.
New rules for unemployment benefits and social protection will be introduced. Citizens who have worked at least 18 months in the last five years can receive benefits for 3 months.
The benefit amount will be set according to the average income of the last 18 months: 75% in the first month, then 50% in the following two months. However, this amount must not exceed three times the minimum wage.
5. Employers are required to create job reserves (up to 3% of all employees) for people with disabilities, victims of domestic violence, the low-income, and orphans in organizations with 100 or more employees.
6. Special vouchers will be provided to citizens wishing to improve their professional qualifications or learn a new profession.
Those who use this tool and find a job after completing their studies must repay the funds to the State Employment Assistance Fund within two years. During the study period, a stipend equal to the minimum wage will be paid.
7. In public service centers, pensioners, pregnant women, and citizens with children under 3 years old will be served out of turn.
In addition, personal information displayed through the public service portal will have the same legal power as paper documents. 8.
For citizens of retirement age, a 20% discount will be given for domestic train tickets in November. This discount does not apply to "Afrosiyob" trains.
Additionally, Uzbekistan Airways has announced a 15% discount on economy class tickets for domestic flights in November. 9.
To support businesses, loans of up to 10 billion soums will be provided for manufacturing and service sectors. Furthermore, preferential loans of up to 500 million soums at annual rates of up to 6% will be given for small business projects in the "green" economy sector.
10. In the public administration system, 2,141 job positions will be reduced.
In addition, the number of deputy heads in committees, agencies, and inspectorates will be decreased by 16. This measure is aimed at reducing bureaucracy and increasing management efficiency.
