According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy, on November 3 of this year at approximately 22:10, a road traffic accident occurred in Andijan region. The truck driver fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a 110 kV “L-Yayilma-2” high voltage power transmission line pole.
As a result of the incident, 13,750 consumers were left without electricity. The power outage affected the “Khursandlik”, “Ilgor”, “Nayzakayrogoch”, “Chulpon 100 yilligi”, “Shodlik”, “Dalvarzin”, “Safoiy”, “Paxtakor”, “Sanoat”, “Uygur”, “Mustaqillik” and “Javaleq” neighborhoods in the city of Andijan, and Andijan and Oltinkol districts.
In order to resolve the situation, an emergency crew carried out urgent work overnight to restore electricity supply. According to the information available, the truck driver was injured and hospitalized.
