In Uzbekistan, further changes have been implemented in the local governance system. New leaders have begun their work in a number of regions and districts. This was reported by the Tashkent regional administration.
According to reports, a new mayor has been appointed to the city of Akhangaran. On the recommendation of the khokim of Tashkent region Zoyir Mirzayev, Sadriddin Shokosimov, who until now worked as the deputy khokim of the district for construction, communications, ecology and landscaping, was approved for the position of khokim of the city.
An important personnel change took place in the Andijan region - Elyorbek Abdurakhmanov was appointed khokim of the city of Khanabad. Prior to this appointment, he served as the head of the regional Department of Poverty Reduction and Employment.
In the Navoi region, the leaders of two districts have changed.
Shahrukh Boltayev became the khokim of Karmana district. Previously, he worked as the deputy khokim of the district for construction and environmental issues.
Alisher Rashidov was appointed to the Navbahor district. Recently, he headed the Navoi Regional Department of Agriculture.
In addition, a new head has started working in the Narpay district of the Samarkand region. Anvar Boliyev, who previously served as the first deputy governor of the district for finance, economics, and poverty reduction, has been appointed governor.
The appointments were made in order to effectively organize the activities of local authorities, increase the rates of socio-economic development of districts and cities, and strengthen an open dialogue with the population.
Each of the new leaders has been tasked with stimulating economic activity in the relevant regions, updating infrastructure, protecting the environment, and ensuring the well-being of citizens.
