The Pension Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan has warned citizens, especially pensioners, about the spread of a new fraud scheme targeting them. Fraudsters introduce themselves as fund employees, contact pensioners by phone, claim there was an error in pension calculations, and offer services to increase the pension amount.
In exchange, they demand personal information, including bank card details, PINFL, and in some cases, money. Official representatives of the Pension Fund emphasized that recalculation of pensions is only carried out in district or city branches, and only upon personal request by the citizens themselves.
Fund employees never offer such services by phone or on the street. Citizens are strongly advised not to share their personal information with third parties.
If you encounter suspicious offers, you should immediately contact the Pension Fund's hotline at 1271 or law enforcement agencies at 102.
