
According to the decree issued by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, administrative expenses for entrepreneurs are planned to be reduced by up to 90 billion soum. To facilitate this, starting next year, the principle of "Starting a Business in 15 Minutes" will be introduced nationwide.
Through this initiative, entrepreneurs will be able to access a range of services during the registration process. These services include obtaining an electronic digital signature, submitting applications to open bank accounts, and acquiring necessary licenses.
Additionally, business representatives will benefit from the ability to formalize lease agreements, register online, and purchase cash registers. This has been outlined in the presidential decree.
According to data from the State Statistics Committee, as of the beginning of November this year, there are more than 465,900 enterprises operating across the republic. This figure represents a 0.7 percent decrease compared to the previous year.
Out of these enterprises, more than 395,700 belong to the small business sector. Regionally, the highest concentration of active businesses and organizations is in Tashkent City—23 percent, Tashkent Region—9.7 percent, and Samarkand Region—8.6 percent.
