Ukraine strikes Russia: buildings damaged

In the southern Russian city of Voronezh, a Ukrainian drone attack overnight killed one woman and injured three others, Governor Alexander Gusev said.

The attack damaged more than 10 apartment buildings, about 10 private houses, one secondary school, and several administrative buildings. According to the governor, the city faced one of the heaviest drone attacks since the start of the special military operation.

Voronezh is located 470 km from Moscow and about 250 km from the Ukrainian border. The full scale of the attack is not yet clear, and there is no independent confirmation.

Ukrainian officials say they are targeting facilities inside Russia. These actions are carried out in response to the Kremlin’s war in Ukraine and to missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure.
