Uzbekistan has joined the international Metric Convention. The Ministry of Justice announced that this law was adopted on November 27 of this year.
This convention aims to ensure the uniformity of metrological standards among various countries. It was initially signed in Paris in 1875 by 17 countries.
Among the signatory states were Argentina, Belgium, Spain, Russia, and the United States. Adoption of the document allowed countries to use mutually agreed and precise measurement standards.
Moreover, based on this convention, the International Bureau of Weights and Measures and the International Committee for Weights and Measures were established. These institutions are responsible for coordinating international metrology and developing measurement systems.
