Emergency Buttons to Be Introduced in Buses and Ambulances

Panic buttons to be installed in buses and ambulances

Panic buttons will gradually be installed in public buses and ambulances across Uzbekistan. This was outlined in a decree by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Health, will ensure order and safety in public transportation and emergency services. This measure is essential to safeguard medical personnel.

Starting January 1, 2026, banks, large enterprises, local government offices, and other facilities will begin installing facial recognition systems at entry and exit points using their own funds. These devices will be integrated with the Ministry of Internal Affairs' database.

All emergency alerts will simultaneously be sent to the Ministry of Internal Affairs' operations centers, as well as to the tablets of inspectors and patrol officers, in addition to the secured facilities and residences. Furthermore, starting in 2026, the charges for security services will vary depending on the category of the facility.

By the end of 2026, significant and strategic facilities will gradually be equipped with anti-drone systems and their own drones.
