Civil Servants to Undergo Corruption Resistance Checks

State officials to be tested for resilience to corruption
In Uzbekistan, employees of state organizations will be assessed for their level of resilience to corruption. This measure is outlined in a decree issued by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Starting next year, heads and staff of anti-corruption control departments, as well as candidates for these positions, will undergo evaluations. From June, this initiative will cover employees of inspection bodies identified as having medium to high risks of corruption.

By the beginning of 2027, representatives of agencies with high corruption risks will also undergo assessments. This will be implemented by the Center for the Evaluation of Management Bodies.

If the diagnostic results determine that an employee's resilience to corruption is low, they will be reassigned to another position on a mandatory basis.
